IMAGE: TUMBLRIs our existence dependent on our visible body? A corpse possesses the same, but it does not have life. In fact, it doesn’t take long for the body to give signs of it decomposing. Looking at a dead person, you see that their soul has departed, it is lifeless. If there is no heart (eternal spirit/ soul), then the body is a corpse.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: The likeness of this dunya (planet earth) and the other world is like somebody who puts their finger into the ocean and pulls it out, what is on their finger in relation to the ocean is like the unseen world in relation to this one.
