Aligned to a Higher Purpose

TAJ MAHAL, AGRA - INDIA

A friend once asked me, how can I warm up to a god as arrogant as he?

Yesterday I was taken aback – today I see, a people who love status and recognition. They want their mark left after they have passed, to be remembered, admired, looked up to, to make a difference, to be better than you, have more than you, to be the best version of themselves…

Mostly and frankly a people who love self-exaltation.

We believe that we are worthy of recognition: either from an egotistic view or a loving view, for a state of admiration or a state of fulfillment.

So today I ask, what about a Creator who has given His creation the mercy of the blinking of the eyes, the ease of swallowing saliva, effortless breathing, a self-healing body and mind …. does He then have no entitlement for recognition?

The concept of an arrogant god surely never has been an impression of mine, arrogance does not breed from love but love of ownership and a sickness of being as and better than the other. I don’t see any higher power constantly hammering us that all this is not ours, and if one believe’s it is, then surely one must believe it is only for an appointed time. One’s life-line.

God says: I was a hidden treasure and I wanted to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.

This is a Divine attribute that is manifest in each of us but it’s harnessing should be kept aligned to a higher purpose.

May we be amongst those who align to a higher purpose ?
