
“You shall not accept information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them.” [Quran 8:22]
The idea that religion suppresses free thought and encourages blind belief certainly is by no means, representative of the Quran. However, the opposite is true; the book emphasizes free-thought and acquiring knowledge. God repetitively asks us to question and contemplate, numerously demanding us to use our intellect: “Will you, then, not think?” Our personalities are a consequence of our experience, knowledge, what we read, hear and see: we gather information on quantum physics, psychology, astronomy, LOVE, happiness, parenting, money and, biographies of great thinkers from various amazing writers.
