At the core of Islam we have Sufism, the English translation of what we call Tassawuf, which is Islamic Knowledge on spiritual development, in other words: the inner dimension of Islam. Beyond the external rituals Muslims perform, this is the internal way of the Muslim spiritual warrior. It is the process of transformation through self-knowledge, heart purification, not paying attention to the lower self and insecurities … to name a few.<\/p>\n
The practice of disciplining the soul and the way of religion is not known to be a comfortable one, and is named as the greater struggle (Mujahada or Jihad). If a person makes this greater struggle a prerequisite, then gnosis will come to one of itself and it is a solid knowing conviction; the result is a liberal soul and an elevated spirit.<\/p>\n
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) lived his life in accordance to Tassawuf and he was the model of spirituality for all mankind, the purpose of this is attainment of a still heart as well as the development of God consciousness. And the purpose of all revealed Books has always been about inner purification.<\/p>\n
