Alright so now I am a #Rumi<\/a> Wannabe; striving for #Divine<\/a> #Love<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The human #heart<\/a> has the capacity to directly perceive the #spiritual<\/a> #nature<\/a> of reality, to witness the qualities and signs of #God<\/a> in the theater of #manifest<\/a> life, and yet too often we chase after shadows that have no real substance. We have an itch and a restlessness we do not know how to satisfy. Underneath all our forms of restlessness and desiring is a yearning that is precious, but when we scatter ourselves we betray and abandon that yearning.
\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is how #life<\/a> communicates to us: when we don’t get it – that this (…) is not our purpose then it has to come in harsh\/ abrupt forms to WAKE US UP. In #Arabic<\/a> the word ‘Dunya’ (world) is from a root word which has several meanings, one is ‘Danya’ – it means that as we attempt to grasp it, it slips away. That is, every time a need\/ desire is fulfilled another emerges. And the more we think we got it the more we realize we didn’t. In spiritual context, suffering is a blessing and is the prerequisite for #growth<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Don’t let your pain be a #motivation<\/a> for filling your hearts void with more play and distractions, rather let it be a motivation to cleanse your ‘self’ from all the unsettling feelings: Your #ego<\/a>, wants, rights … Desire is only an attempt to fill an emptiness, and living a life seeking pleasure is pure boredom. I heard once from a wise man, that despair is the root of a #hedonistic<\/a> lifestyle. I believe our current world with its multiple methods of #entertainment<\/a> can attest to that.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
